The University of the Witwatersrand, known also as Wits University, student registration is possible for those who have applied for admission. Wits University opened its applications for 2024 in May.
Whether you are a new student or returning student, you must complete the registration. Student Registration follows after you have been given an offer of admission for 2023 / 2024. Due to COVID-19 protocols for Higher Education institutions, only off-campus registrations will be possible.
How to register as a first-year student”:
- Visit the self-service: https://self-service.wits.ac.za/
- Accept Offer and Regiser Online before the deadline stipulated in the firm offer letter. Not accepting your offer and registering before the deadline can cause a withdrawal of your admission offer.
- Activate your wits email
- Collect Student Card and Goodie bag
As a returning/old student, it is only expected that you are already familiar with Wits University registration process. However, if you need to check the process for any reason or you are not a returning student, visit: https://www.wits.ac.za/registration/.
