Unisa uses an Open Distance e-Learning (ODeL) education model which sees students learn and participate in examinations online.
UNISA Open Distance e-Learning (ODeL) means that most of your interactions with Unisa will occur at a distance – mostly in digital format. As a means to support students, there are various support services such as tutorial support and counseling, and online tools to boost academic excellence.
When applying for ODeL, here are things to consider:
- Your reading and writing will be more private – you need to spend time in personal study.
- Proper planning and scheduling are important so that you can submit assignments on time and be prepared for your examinations.
- Proficiency in using Computers and the Internet is important since this is the medium through which lecturer-student communication is possible.
