Following the announcement of Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) Recruitment 2023/2024, the recruiting teams will be visiting recruitment centers on various dates between August and September 2023.
The recruiting teams that will be visiting these centers consist of the Kenya Army, the Kenya Air Force and the Kenya Navy.
However, there is an exemption to this visitation, applications for Specialist Officers and Tradesmen/women vacancies must be done online.
Kenya Defence Forces Vacancies
KDF is seeking to hire people into these vacancies, these vacancies include:
- General Service Officer (GSO) Cadets (Regular and Graduate degree holders),
- Specialist Officers,
- General Duty Recruits,
- Tradesmen/women, and
- Defence Forces Constables.
Basic Requirements
Candidates must be between 18 and 26 years for GSO Cadets and General Duty Recruits, and not above 30 years of age for Specialist Officers and Tradesmen/women.
They should also not be above 39 years of age for Chaplains/Imams.
Candidates must meet the minimum physical requirements: Minimum height for men 1.60m (5ft 3in) and women 1.52m (5ft). The minimum weight for men is 54.55 kg and for women 50.00 Kg.

As aforementioned, to apply for Specialist Officers and Tradesmen/women vacancies, you must apply online. The training period for Specialist Officers will be six (6) months. Below are links to access application forms.
